P.V.C. Dip Coat:

P.V.C. or “poly-vinyl chloride” dip coat has unlimited uses. It can be applied to any steel surface as well as the surfaces of some other materials. P.V.C. coating is generally used as an insulator for plating racks or for part protection on material handling carts and carriers. We have the ability to provide alternative durometers (hardness) as well as high-temperature P.V.C. coatings. We stock black coating in-house; however, we can provide almost any color per customer request.

Mil-Spec. Dip Coating:

We have the ability to provide military specification coating as an addition to our dip-coating capabilities. Mil-Spec. coating is an anti-fungal dip coat that is used for accessories that will be used in a multitude of terrains. This coating will not allow fungus to grow on it; hence forth, rendering molds and air-borne viruses that would otherwise be transferred by the coated part, inert.

P.V.C. Spray Coat:

P.V.C. spray coat is made of the same materials as our dip coat. Although the method of application is slightly different, we can apply it to the same materials as our dip coat. The finish on a spray-coated part will have an “orange peel” texture or upon request, our process can be modified to smooth out the finish. Spray-coat is typically thinner and softer than dip-coat. There are some benefits to using a spray-coat application over a dip-coat application. You are not limited by the size of an object as it does not have to fit within the internal dimensions of a tank. Generally, you do not use as much coating which will reduce costs. Spray-coat will cover all surfaces with an even coat where as dip-coat will tend to build heavier around thicker materials and thin around lighter materials. You can also minimize the amount of air pockets and void spots by using spray-coat.

Fluidized Powder Coat:

Our fluidized powder coat is generally used for in-house fabricated goods. We use a vinyl powder coat that is softer than dry-spray powder coat. Upon request, we can provide samples of this unique powder and provide a quote. Powder Coat- As a general rule, we only powder coat in-house fabricated goods. Upon request; however, we can quote powder coating as an additional service to our customers.

Plasite:

Apex has the ability to provide Plasite as well. Plasite is a coating that is used in the food industry because of its durability. Plasite can handle extreme temperatures and pressures which makes it ideal for pressure pots in an automated setting. Please contact us for further information or with requests for quote.

Wet Spray:

We are equipped so that no item is too large for us to wet spray. We have the ability to prime and paint any type of steel including aluminum as well as some select other materials. Apex also has the ability to apply any other kind of HVLP coatings. All items are cleaned, prepared, and degreased as part of this operation unless otherwise instructed by the customer. We keep a large inventory of paints on hand and can color match to meet your specific needs.
